VPSA Oxygen Operating Principle
Air is supplied to adsorber vessels by a low-pressure blower, rather than a high-pressure compressor. (VSPA) technology operates at lower pressures, with the process’ delivery pressure being 3-5 PSIG. This oxygen-separating process closely follows the standard Oxygen PSA principle, except the vessels regenerate by administering a vacuum to separating media.
This process has proven advantageous for power consumption. Vacuum Pressure Swing Adsorption technology is usually used where lower pressure product is utilized in the final stage of application.
